Overview

This RFID broadcast tag is intended for tracking people in hazardous environments such as in chemical plants, petrol and gas industries and oil rigs. This compact people tracking tag is able to send data at distances of up to 150 meters (500 ft) to either a mobile (handheld) or fixed reader with high accuracy and reliability. Due to its small size and form, the tag is comfortably worn by all personnel.

The marker technology enables visibility &control if someone moves in or out through a gate or other zone-based locations. In this application, the inductive marker field informs the sensor about the current location. In real-time the tag sends its location information several times to the reader through its RFID capabilities. Even after the tag has left the marker field, it transmits this data steadily at a configurable ping rate.

Due to its ultra-low power consumption and configurable ping rate (one second to five minutes), the tag can effectively operate maintenance free for many years.
